LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Election day is still over a month away, but for those who want to vote in November, time is ticking on the registration deadline. Voters need to be registered by Oct. 7, a week from Monday.

Folks at Bethel A.M.E Church Little Rock spent the day getting the community registered. Volunteers set up a booth outside the church making the process easy and seamless.

One volunteer says she was able to help register a 23-year-old who had never voted before.

“A lot of times people think, ‘I don’t make an impact by voting’ and I think with us being out here and supporting them and say get out there and vote. It’s important that you do that as part of your civic duty, I think that’s really important,” Jennifer Ivory said.

The church will also be providing rides to the polls during early voting. They will be running shuttles for two weeks during early voting on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
