In 2024, Central Minnesota Jobs and Training Services, Inc. (CMJTS) celebrates its 40th anniversary, marking four decades of dedication to empowering jobseekers and strengthening communities through innovative workforce development programs. CMJTS is hosting an open house event at its Monticello CareerForce Location to commemorate this milestone, inviting the general public, supporters, and community partners to come together and celebrate.

This event will highlight CMJTS’s commitment to providing high-quality services to businesses looking for workers and to jobseekers facing career changes, literacy, computer skills, work readiness, transportation, and housing challenges. For 40 years, CMJTS has worked tirelessly to help individuals overcome these barriers and achieve economic self-sufficiency, resulting in an improved quality of life for thousands of Minnesotans.

“We’re incredibly proud to celebrate 40 years of impact,” said CMJTS Executive Director Dina Wuornos.

“This milestone represents decades of hard work, dedication, and a steadfast belief in the power of our employees, programs, and services to transform lives. As we look to the future, we are excited to continue creating opportunities for jobseekers and businesses across Central Minnesota.”

As CMJTS celebrates its 40th year, they continue to adapt and grow. Their focus on innovation is also reflected in new initiatives, including holding focus groups to gather input from the businesses and clients we serve, re-entry services to support justice-involved people returning to our communities, and employment and training services for persons recovering from Opioid Use Disorder.

CMJTS’s 40th anniversary is a celebration of its past and a testament to its bright future. And they are committed to building stronger communities through economic self-sufficiency and workforce empowerment as they expand their reach.

CMJTS cordially invites you to the 40th Anniversary Open House, which will occur October 9, 6-8 p.m. at 406 East 7th St., Monticello. The event will feature live music, light appetizers and beverages, raffles, and a silent auction. It is sure to be a welcoming and exciting event.
