After taking a few years off the life of their fanbase, the Alabama Crimson Tide escaped with a victory on Saturday.

A Georgia Bulldogs offense that struggled to get anything going in the first half, the sky opened up offensively for the Bulldogs late in the game, as they went as far as to take the lead before the Tide rolled in.

But two players on opposte sides of the ball showed why they are so valualble to the team. Jalen Milroe with his Heisman Trophy performance , and rising star Jihaad Campbell's defensive presence:

"When you really think about that, it's Bama," said Campbell postgame when asked about the team's will to win after seeing their lead collapse and be a part of the game-winning defensive stop. "We don't really overthink things, we don't really think hard or contemplate about things, we have poise and we trust ourselves and one another to go out there and do our jobs to execute and come out with the win and that's what we did."

For Campbell, this was his first time in the national spotlight, but those who have watched the Tide the past three years, but certainly the past three weeks know that Campbell has been on pace to be Alabama's next defensive superstar :

So far, when Alabama needs a big run stop, a sack, or crucial pass defended Jihaad Campbell is right there to make a play. He's averaging a 25% pass rush pressure rate (elite), 1.3 yards per reception against, and has already totaled close to 20 tackles through just two games this season. Campbell is clearly emerging as Alabama's best defensive star and could perhaps win some national awards by season's end.

Campbell may have only had four total tackles against the Bulldogs, but he's quickly become a player that offenses have to account for on ever snap. If you don't, plays like the interception of Beck occur, where Campbell was disguised as the overhang and read Beck's eyes all the way.

So while the Tide are only four games into a long season, as of now, they have passed their biggest test with flying colors and head into October undefeated as the meat of the SEC schedule picks up, and with yet another star LB on the horizon.
