The Cleveland Browns have a big Week 4 game on the road against the Las Vegas Raiders. Win or lose, the team is looking forward to a potentially positive development in Week 5.

Ian Rapoport reports that Nick Chubb will return to practice this upcoming week. He has been on the PUP list since the beginning of the season. This news signals that Chubb is taking big steps toward returning to the field.

Per NFL rules, players can stay on the PUP list and be in practice for three weeks. However, they must be added to the active roster during this time.

Rapoport's sources have indicated that Chubb will not play in the Browns' Week 5 game against the Commanders. He is trending to be ready by midseason as initially projected. Injuries have decimated the Browns offensive line so it remains to be seen if those issues factor into when Chubb steps out onto the field for a regular season game.

The Browns schedule from Week 5 through 8 includes away games at Washington and Philadelphia on October 6 and 13 respectively and AFC North divisional home games against Cincinnati and Baltimore on October 20 and 27 respectively.
