Heat and humidity are expected to return to southeast Louisiana by the middle of the coming week. Moisture in the Gulf of Mexico will begin to filter into the area by Wednesday, bringing both moister air and an increased chance of rain. In the meantime, dew poins will remain below the 70-degree mark, keeping conditions bearable despite high temperatures pushing 90°.

We'll be paying close attention to the area of tropical development near the Yucatan Peninsula. It's still too early to tell if it will form into a tropical system or where that potential system will go. The National Hurricane Center is giving the area a "medium chance" to develop.
