The Ysleta Independent School District is one of the best employers in Texas, according to a recently released report by Forbes.

The district was the only organization headquartered in El Paso to land on Forbes' America’s Best-In-State Employers 2024.

"Being named one of the best employers in Texas is a reflection of the strong community we've built together, one that is rooted in the dedication of staff, teachers, and administrators who work hard every day to provide a superb education to our students," Ysleta ISD Superintendent Xavier De La Torre said.

The list was created by surveying 160,000 employees working for companies with at least 500 people on how likely they were to recommend their employer.

Responses were then tallied and incorporated into a scoring system, along with survey data from the past three years, and nearly 1,300 companies across the country made the list.

In Texas, YISD is among Houston Methodist, H-E-B Grocery Company and IKEA to receive the recognition.

"The Ysleta Independent School District is honored to earn such a prestigious recognition from Forbes, and we are proud to offer a workplace environment where our 6,400 employees feel appreciated, respected, and inspired for the benefit of our students and families," De La Torre said.
