Latest Haason Reddick Update Will Raise Eyebrows

The New York Jets are off to an impressive start behind the now-healthy veteran star Aaron Rodgers.

They will enter Week 4 against the Denver Broncos with back-to-back wins, including a 24-3 annihilation of the New England Patriots in their last outing.

Aside from Rodgers, the Jets have gotten plenty of contributions from Allen Lazard, Breece Hall, Braelon Allen and Quincy Williams, just to name a few.

They have hardly needed Haason Reddick, who continues to hold out on his contract after being traded to the Jets in April. The Pro Bowl linebacker, who will sit out Sunday's game against the Broncos, is losing a lot of money because of the situation.

"It's another lost game check ($792,000) for holdout Haason Reddick, bringing his four-week total to $3.16 million in lost salary," reported ESPN's Rich Cimini .

"Additionally, he has accumulated $4.5 million in mandatory fines, plus another $1.4 million in discretionary fines."

The 30-year-old Reddick, who was named a Second-Team All-Pro in 2022, didn't report to training camp and hasn't participated in any activity of the Jets.

Cimini noted that after Week 4, the Jets are allowed to recoup 1/18th of what remains from Reddick's pro-rated signing bonus.

"That occurs each week, maxing out at $2.74 million," explained Cimini. "He already has sacrificed roughly half the pro-rated bonus because of his holdout."

Recently, Cimini reported that Reddick would be open to a potential reunion with the Philadelphia Eagles, though the feelings don't appear to be mutual . The Eagles jettisoned him to the Jets for a conditional third-round pick.
