After an exciting Week 5 of high school football in Missouri, the top-25 rankings in the state have now been updated.

The weekend saw some important games, including ranked battles between Lee’s Summit-Lee’s Summit West, Helias-Rock Bridge, and Joplin-Republic.

Heading into Week 6, here are the top 25 teams in the Show-Me State.

The On3 Massey Ratings — which were officially used during the BCS era and have generated college high school sports team rankings since 1995 — rank sports teams by analyzing game outcomes, strength of schedule and margin of victory.

    1. Lee’s Summit North

    Previous: No. 1
The Broncos crushed then-No. 14 Blue Springs 44-12 to move to 5-0 on the season. They’ll get another big KC-area matchup on Friday when they travel to No. 6 Blue Springs South.

    2. Nixa

    Previous: No. 2
Nixa remained undefeated by rolling past an overmatched Lebanon squad 56-12. The Eagles will be back home on Thursday night to host 2-3 Kickapoo, with the On3 Massey Ratings predicting the home team to win 46-7.

    3. Rockhurst

    Previous: No. 3
The Hawklets beat Kansas’ No. 23 team, Bishop Miege, with dominant defense in a 20-3 victory. They’ll stay on the road this week and head to face a Blue Springs squad that will be looking to rebound.

    4. Cardinal Ritter College Prep

    Previous: No. 4
Ritter had no problems with Lift for Life Academy, rolling to a 50-16 home victory to move to 5-0 on the season. Kansas City Bishop Miege comes to town after the bye week.

    5. Christian Brothers College

    Previous: No. 5
CBC now sits at 4-1 after demolishing St. Louis-area rivals DeSmet and University High in back-to-back weeks. Nashville’s Lipscomb Academy is next on the schedule, with the Cadets set to host the 1-4 Mustangs on Friday night.

    6. Blue Springs South

    Previous: No. 6
Following a dominant 51-12 win over Raymore-Peculiar last week, BSS continued its winning ways with a 43-14 rout of Staley. But their hardest test of the season awaits on Friday night against No. 1 Lee’s Summit North.

    7. Lee’s Summit

    Previous: No. 7
The Tigers have now won back-to-back games after smoking Lee’s Summit West 45-10 on Friday night. Up next, they’ll head out to face Lexington in a game the On3 Massey Ratings predict them to win handily.

    8. Liberty North

    Previous: No. 11
Back to .500 overall, the Eagles make an appearance in the top 10 after beating Ray-Pec 59-12. They’ll face a reeling 1-4 Staley squad before back-to-back top-10 matchups against Lee’s Summit North and Rockhurst.

    9. Liberty

    Previous: No. 8
The Blue Jays have now scored 40-plus points in consecutive games after blowout wins over Raytown South and Park Hill South. The next stretch will be a tough one though, with games against No. 25 Park Hill, No. 6 Blue Springs South and a talented Oak Park squad.

    10. DeSmet

    Previous: No. 10
The Spartans suffered their first loss of the year to CBC last weekend, then had the bye week to regroup. They’ll face St. Louis private school rival Chaminade on Friday night with the On3 Massey Ratings predicting a 44-6 Spartans victory.
