    Woman shot in Southeast DC

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said a woman was shot in Southeast D.C. on Saturday night.

    MPD that at about 11 p.m., it was at the scene of a shooting in the unit block of Potomac Avenue.

    When officers arrived, they found a woman with non-life-threatening gunshot wound injuries.

    The woman was transported to the hospital, conscious and breathing.

    Nearby cameras captured a photo of the suspect, as seen below.

    Police encourage anyone who can identify the suspect or has information on the shooting to call them at (202) 727-9099 or text a tip to 50411.

    MPD currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
