Celebrating Nine Years of Artistic Brilliance: Queen Sheba Previews an Epic Night of Poetry vs. Hip Hop

Recently on " Good Vibes " with Host Dj. Ms. Eclectic , prominent figure in the Atlanta's poetry scene and Grammy Nominated Artist Queen Sheba joined the program to share insights about the upcoming Poetry vs. Hip Hop event set for October 6 at City Winery .

The event, which has gained popularity over the years, will feature four selected poets and four emcees competing for a $1,000 prize. Queen Sheba highlighted her commitment to curating talent, inviting Grammy-nominated poet Prentice Powell to perform. The lineup also includes soul singer Erica Dawson , recognized as Atlanta's top soul artist for 2024, and King Roscoe , a rising youth hip-hop artist known for his positive messages.

In addition to its artistic focus, the event aligns with The Race , a community-oriented 5K and half marathon. This collaboration aims to promote representation in fitness, emphasizing the accomplishments of people of color in endurance sports.

Queen Sheba assured attendees that the event will provide a well-timed experience, with doors opening at 6 PM and the show starting at 7:30 PM, allowing for a concise yet impactful evening.
