    MEMA deploys generators to Georgia after Helene

    PEARL, Miss. ( WJTV ) – As recovery efforts continue across the Southeast after Hurricane Helene, Mississippi organizations and agencies are pitching in to help those in need.

    Supplies, emergency workers rushed to North Carolina while Florida digs out from Helene’s damage

    According to the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA), the state has deployed three generators to Georgia. MEMA said the state is also sending one Chinook and two BlackHawk helicopters.

    The Mississippi USAR Task Force remains in Florida.
