Police ID bicyclist killed in crash with semi

Police have identified the bicyclist killed after being struck by a semi tractor trailer in Clark County as Andrew Niedzwicki, 65, of Thorp.

The crash was reported at about 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17 on County Hwy. N near Dickerson Avenue in the town of Worden, south of Thorp. Police say a 63-year-old semi driver was headed east when he struck the bicyclist, who was headed in the same direction.

According to the Clark County Sheriff’s Department, Niedzwicki was thrown from the bicycle into the south shoulder of the roadway. The semi driver reported the crash.

Niedzwicki was transported by ambulance to a hospital in Stanely, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries. No additional information has been released.
