Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers hosted the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 4. Mayfield and his squad came away with the 33-16 victory after starting the game out hot with 14 points in the first quarter.

Following the Buccaneers' victory over Philadelphia, Mayfield was interviewed by sideline reporter Erin Andrews on Fox Sports.

During the interview, Andrews asked Mayfield what it's like to play in Tampa, given the hot weather in Florida.

"I changed my pants at halftime," Mayfield said. "It's a little toasty out here."

NFL fans seemed to love Mayfield's comment, sending their instant reactions on social media.

"Whatever works!" said one fan with laughing emojis.

"Clutch pants performance," said another fan.

"Gosh I love this guy," commented one fan.

"A man of the people," mentioned one fan.

"I really love this version of Baker Mayfield," said one fan.

Despite the heat, Mayfield was still able to produce at a high level. Tampa Bay led the Bucs with 445 yards of total offense against the Eagles and picked up 29 first downs while forcing two fumbles.

Mayfield ended the game with two touchdowns and 347 yards, completing 20-of-47 pass attempts.

Mayfield has been one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL all season. Before Tampa Bay's matchup against the Eagles, Mayfield recorded six touchdowns on 637 yards.

He's led the Buccaneers to a 3-1 record, having defeated the Washington Commanders, 37-20, and Detroit Lions, 20-16, in Weeks 1 and 2, respectively, and most recently, the Eagles.

Tampa Bay's next matchup will be played on prime time, "Thursday Night Football" against the Atlanta Falcons.
