Police in South San Francisco arrested a Richmond man suspected of making threats, the department said Friday.

According to police, an alleged victim contacted them Sept. 20 saying that Pao Chiam Saechao, 49, was threatening them and mentioning he had a gun.

Officers were unable to locate Saechao.

Last Thursday, police learned that Saechao had allegedly threatened the person again.

A search warrant for Saechao's residence in Richmond was granted and detectives along with members of the North Central Regional SWAT Team executed the warrant, according to police.

A search of Saechao's residence allegedly resulted in the discovery of ammunition. He was arrested on suspicion of two counts of making criminal threats and being a prohibited person in possession of ammunition, all felonies.

As of Sunday, Saechao remained in custody on $150,000 bail.

This investigation is ongoing; anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Blake at (650) 877-8900 or tips@ssf.net.
