Lorde recently shared a handful of worrisome selfies debuting a black eye with no explanation as to how her eye came to be bruised.

The "Ribs" hitmaker unveiled the concerning look via Instagram on Monday (September 30) morning, depicting the entirety of her right eye consumed in a reddish, black bruise. In the first couple of selfies, the standout is sitting in the car, drawing attention to the injury with an unbothered countenance.

Another selfie shows Lorde basking in the sun with her black eye, and enjoying a sweet treat with a smile on her face. The star also shared a snap of a "ProHealth Advanced Imaging" disc, and a hat that says "Do You Have The Stones?" fueling the caption attached to her mysterious photo carousel.

Fans immediately reacted to the series with worry and confusion, stating "gurl what happened, so confusing," and "Hope you're okay, that's looks really sore."
