To be very honest, there is not a lot that the Chicago Bulls fans have to look forward to at the moment. The organization appear to be getting ready for a full-scale rebuild. They have already said goodbye to DeMar DeRozan and Alex Caruso, and are believed to be open to trades for Nikola Vucevic and Zach LaVine.

So, it is clear that a lot of the focus will be on the Bulls' young stars moving forward.

Amid all this, the franchise have made a decision that not everybody seems to be convinced by. According to Darnell Mayberry on X , the Bulls have exercised the fourth-year option for Dalen Terry.

Terry was selected 18th overall by the Bulls in the 2022 NBA Draft, earlier than projected. Since then, we have not seen a lot from him.

Last season, he made 2 starts and averaged 11.5 minutes, 3.1 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game while shooting 43.9% from the field and 23% from beyond the arc.

Not the kind of development or output you expect from a top-20 draft pick. And unsurprisingly, some Bulls fans were not impressed with the decision to exercise the fourth-year option.

There was some excitement around the potential of Terry when he was drafted. He had a fantastic work ethic and a wingspan of over 7 feet.

Unfortunately, he has not done much since then to justify the pick. So, it is not hard to understand why a lot of Bulls fans are not particularly impressed with the decision.

Of course, the organization have made a lot of bad decisions over the years, which is why they find themselves in this situation, staring at a monumental rebuild that might not work out at all.

Hopefully, Terry can prove his critics wrong next season. He is expected to get more game time to do so.
