“This Is Your Last Birthday” – 98 Year Old Navy Veteran Is All Smiles Lighting Firecrackers Inside The House

He's at the age he does not give a f**k anymore. There are many stigmas about growing old, and while a few might be true, growing old isn't something I feel people should be scared of. As someone who (hopefully) has many years left on this earth, I've always thought one of the best things to happen as you age is the sense of youthfulness that hits you at some point. Maybe you've seen it with your grandparents or parents, and I'm sure part of this phase is denying how old you actually are, but at some point in the aging process, many folks rewind to act like they are 18 again. It's almost like we are reminded of our free will and can do whatever we want, so we act upon that. A social media user is going viral for capturing moments of her father's display of free will. The user shared that her dad has since passed but loves looking back on these hilarious and sometimes straight-up crazy moments of her father, a US Navy Veteran, in his final years. And I must admit, her father seemed like a riot. In the most recent clip shared to TikTok, she shows her 98-year-old father setting off fireworks in his home. While these aren't big box displays, the man repeatedly fires off small blast crackers in the middle of the kitchen. " When you tell your 98-year-old dad he shouldn't light firecrackers in the basement." The video opens with his daughter, the one behind the camera, asking him to light them and throw them into a cardboard box. For obvious reasons, this request is to contain the flame and a small explosion in hopes no one gets hurt. Her father, however, has no regard for this request because he says they don't go off when thrown into the box. In an effort for her dad to see how dangerous this is, she hilarious yells at him between him setting off the firecrackers. "In the box, or this is your last birthday!" The man was not wrong, though. After abiding by her daughter's request, the blaster did not go off in the box, so he returned to letting them rip in the middle of the room. He is getting more than a kick out of the whole show, which you can't help but laugh at. The best part of the video is that he's doing this right next to a charcuterie board.
