Texas County’s unemployment decreases in August

Texas County’s unemployment rate decreased in August from the previous month, the Missouri Department of Economic Development reported.

In August, the rate was 4.8%. That is down 1.1% from July.

According to the department, the county’s total labor force was 8,762 and employed was 8,343. (Total unemployed – 419)

Other counties and their unemployment rates: Dent (4.6), Douglas (4.5), Howell (5), Laclede (4.9), Phelps (4), Pulaski (4.8), Shannon (4.5) and Wright (5.1).
