This is such a sad story for them all sounds like they have fallen on hard times like we all have lately. I know right now for some who are even middle class it's coming down to feeding ur family or your pet. I bet if they were immigrants they would of gotten free vet care. This is the shit wrong with this country we will help everyone but our own

The spca would not have taken the dog, what were they supposed to do? They said they didn’t have a way to take him to the vet or pay for it. So you take them to the vet then expect them to pay for it!! Do you know how hard it is to lose an animal that you love, do you know how it feels to have a sick animal? To have no where to turn for help? There’s bo one that will help at all!! Now you want to charge these people who already seem to use a hard life with no transportation or house to call home. This world is backwards. If it was a border hopper they’d get all the help in the world.
