Brandon Graham Calls Team Meeting for Eagles

Brandon Graham is the longest-tenured member of the Philadelphia Eagles throughout the organization's history. He has seen both the good and bad of what the fanbase and front office can bring to everyday work.

After the team's 33-16 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Sunday afternoon, though, Graham made it clear that last season's collapse would not sink another season.

Philadelphia's Pro Bowl edge rusher called a team meeting following the loss when the Eagles dropped their record to 2-2: not the end of the world, but certainly not a great record for a talented team.

"I said some stuff that's going to get them motivated," Graham told reporters after. "People knew what this was. We'll just leave it on the sideline talking.

"It ain’t no pointing fingers. We’re out there trying to get right, so we can win these games. We know it’s a journey … Right now, people are going to say what they’re going to say, but they ain’t a part of the journey, you know what I’m saying? We know what we gotta do … I’m excited coming off this [upcoming] bye, getting everybody back and see what we got."

Graham taking control is the next part of the team's overall leadership group.

With Jason Kelce and Fletcher Cox retired and Johnson out with a concussion, Graham has opted to become more of a vocal leader in the locker room along with many others.

His call for improved play will need to hold off for two weeks - the Eagles are on a bye week in Week 5 - but it is certainly needed for an inconsistent group to this point.
