    Miami-Dade County men cited for illegal fishing in Florida Keys

    ISLAMORADA, Florida — Two Miami-Dade County men were cited Sunday for harvesting undersized and over-the-limit fish near the Whale Harbor Bridge, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.Islamorada Marine Deputy Jason Farr was on patrol at approximately 10:52 a.m. when he observed the men fishing. Upon inspecting their catch, Daimel Del Toro Garica, 38, of Hialeah, Florida, was cited for possessing 17 undersized mangrove snapper, 12 over-the-bag-limit snapper, and five undersized schoolmaster snapper. Alberto Milanes Cardona, of Homestead, Florida, was cited for possessing two undersized mangrove snapper and fishing without a license.Both men were given mandatory notices to appear in court, stated the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.
