It didn't take long for detectives in Baltimore to identify and apprehend a woman apprehended for a fatal shooting that was reported last weekend.

City resident Teresa Collins, 38, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection to the death of Jasmine Simuel on Sunday, Sept. 22 in Baltimore.

Officers were called shortly after 9 p.m. on the night of the shooting to the 2700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, where they found Samuel suffering from a gunshot wound.

She was treated by paramedics and rushed to an area hospital, where she died that night.

Following a weeklong investigation, Collins was identified as a suspect, and she was arrested without further incident.

Collins is being held without bail.
