Who's cutting onions? These days, all I do is find videos that make me cry and write about them. But oh my goodness, did this one make me sob in the best way possible. There is no denying that the bond grandparents share with their grandchildren is something special, and if you're lucky enough to have your grandparents around as you age, that bond grows stronger each year. As grandparents are the biggest cheerleaders for their grandchildren, when they make an effort to be there for big moments, it's always emotional. But those big moment emotions get ramped up when it's a moment both grandparent and grandchild have experienced. A social media user is going viral for sharing a heartwarming video of her grandfather saluting her twin sister. In the caption, she shares that her sister graduated from the Navy's Officer Development School, and her grandfather would not miss watching her cross that stage. While I am sure he would have been there regardless of his career, the moment is even more special as their grandfather is a veteran.
"My Twin graduated from Officer Development School in the Navy as a third-year medical student (MD) medical core, and I couldn’t be prouder. To see my Grandpagrandpayear-old decorated veteran, salute my twin was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I’m so lucky." At the end of the graduation ceremony, the young woman runs to her family. After hugging her parents, she hugs her grandmother, which is when viewers see her grandfather in uniform. As he struggles to get up, his family helps him onto his feet so he can give his granddaughter a proper salute. After the two salute each other, the woman hugs her grandad, and you can see in his eyes how proud he is of her. After their embrace, she helps steady her grandfather's balance, and they look at each other in admiration of their shared bond. Are you crying yet? Because I have a steady flow of tears running down my face while writing this. While I can sit here and continue typing out how special this moment is, the footage speaks louder than any word in this article.

Like me, many other viewers were left in a puddle after this video. We don't deserve grandparents. "I’m sobbing. He is SO proud of her. Hug him tight; grandpas are so special." "All I do is cry on this app!" "Please hug him a little tighter for the ones who no longer have their grandpa." "He’s so damn proud!!! Woohoo! You go, girl."
"You can see the little kid inside her coming out when she was running to hug Gramps." "Instantly crying; thank you for sharing this precious moment." "He is so proud and happy." "It's 9 am and I'm bawling." "He's bursting with pride in her and what she has worked toward." "Here I go again, crying for people I don't know."
