    Dr. Willie Wilson preps for Gas and Grocery Giveaway on Oct. 5

    Dr. Willie Wilson, a former mayoral candidate, businessman, and activist, is having another gas and grocery giveaway on October 5.

    The Lousiana native's giveaways have been a beacon of community support, providing food and gas at a crucial time for Chicago residents in need, especially during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, he's prepping for another one this Saturday while supplies last.

    For groceries: $25 grocery coupons will be provided to shoppers at four stores

    • Cermak Fresh Market - 3311 W 26 St. Chicago, IL at 9 AM
    • Montrose Deli - 6601 W Irving Park Rd, Chicago, IL at 10 AM
    • Seafood City Supermarket - 5033 N Elston Ave., Chicago, IL at 11 AM
    • Shop & Save Market - 6312 N Nagle Ave., Chicago, IL at 12P (NOON)

    For gas: $50 gas fill-ups at the following locations, starting at 7 AM

    • SHELL - 210 E Ogden Ave, Hinsdale, IL
    • BP - 750 N Wells, Chicago, IL
    • CITGO - 1745 W Foster, Chicago, IL
    • CITGO - 1345 N Pulaski, Chicago, IL
    • SUPER SAVE - 48 E Garfield Blvd, Chicago, IL
    • MARATHON - 340 S Sacramento, Chicago, IL
    • PHILLIPS 76 - 7601 S Jeffrey Blvd, Chicago, IL
    • BP - 7850 S King Drive, Chicago, IL
