But fear not ... you can share a password now, but it is going to cost you.</p><p>According to an <a href="https://thewaltdisneycompany.com/paid-sharing-disney-explainer/">announcement earlier this week</a>, Disney is now adding a password share option, and it will cost you $6.99 a month. If you would prefer the ad-free route, that will cost you $9.99 a month.</p><p>If you are like me and you are already dreaming up a scheme to get the entire neighborhood to chip in and split it 37 ways, I'm disappointed to tell you that Disney is a step ahead. Each account will only allow one other person to share the password. Sorry for all you parents that have multiple kids out of the house sharing.</p><p>If you go traveling, it is going to add an extra step for you to stream Disney+ outside of your normal home. If you're streaming away from your home, you will get a prompt asking you if you moved or if you are traveling. If you select traveling, your account holder will get a one-time code that must be entered in order to access the streaming options.</p><p>No word on when the crackdown will begin, but some reports <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/business/business-news/disney-plus-password-sharing-crackdown-begins-paid-sharing-1236011760/">are saying it could happen as soon as this week</a>.
