Everyone's Saying the Same Thing About Jason Kelce on 'Monday Night Countdown'

When you just wrapped up your NFL playing career, as Jason Kelce did, at 6-foot-3 and 295 pounds, you can probably get away with more eclectic fashion choices than most of us.

Of course, when you spent all 13 years of your career developing a rep as a Philadelphia icon while playing center, serving as the leader of the offensive line and leader in the locker room for the Eagles, you'd better make sure those fashion choices are Philly-approved.

And, appearing on 'Monday Night Countdown' on ESPN ahead of the NFL doubleheaders featuring the Dolphins vs. Titans and the Seahsawks vs. Lions, Kelce certainly looked the part of a dignified Philadelphia hipster.

Sportcoat? Check. Jeans? Check. New tan workboots (untied, of course)? Check.

Reaction on social media came fast and funny. The winner, probably, was user Maybe: Marcus, who wrote, "Jason Kelce look like he's going to a Philly parent teacher conference."

Now, through it all, Kelce did actually manage to spout some decent analysis, even as he looked like he was heading to a PTA meeting or hoping to buy some land for mining.

Kelce noted that in his career, he was able to walk away of his own volition, but lamented the situation that Dophins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is in, where he might be forced to retire with a concussion issue even before he hits his prime.

“I got to enjoy a full career and I was done when I made that decision. Tua’s not in that position. You can tell the competitive nature that he has,” Kelce said.
