Lions Clap Back at Seahawks' Trash Talk With Three-Word Message

The Seattle Seahawks arrived at Ford Field for their Week 4 game against the Detroit Lions, riding a wave of momentum. After all, they were undefeated through the first three weeks of the 2024 NFL regular season and were coming off a 24-3 beatdown of the Miami Dolphins at home in Week 3.

Just before the start of the Lions game, Seahawks linebacker Tyler Dodson gave a fiery speech to his teammates, hyping them up by also putting the toughness of Detroit in question.

"These m------------ ain't tough," Dodson shouted during a huddle.

As it turned out, the Lions were too much to handle for Dodson and the Seahawks, who ended up absorbing a 42-29 defeat. Jared Goff and the Lions' attack lit up Seattle's stop unit for a total of 389 total yards.

Detroit's social media team then circled back to Dodson's speech and made sure to let everyone know who had the last laugh in the contest.

"Found out though," the Lions' X (formerly Twitter) account posted as a reaction to Dodson's bold claim.

Goff was among the stars of the show for Detroit’s offense against Seattle. He went 18-of-18 for 292 passing yards and two touchdowns with zero interceptions. He even caught a touchdown. Meanwhile, running backs Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery combined for three rushing scores for the Lions, who improved to 3-1. Detroit will head to a bye in Week 5 before facing the Dallas Cowboys in Arlington on Oct. 13.

As for the Seahawks, they are also 3-1 and will be looking for answers on how to get back to their winning ways with a Week 5 assignment versus the New York Giants in front of them.
