Another lucky Michigan Lottery player has struck it big, becoming the 13th person this year to win $25,000 a year for life playing Lucky For Life.

Lucky For Life Strikes Again in Michigan: $25,000 a Year for Life Prize Won for 13th Time This Year

The Michigan Lottery continues to live up to its name as another player has won a $25,000 a year for life prize playing Lucky For Life, marking the 13th time this year that a Michigan resident has hit this life-changing jackpot. The latest winning ticket, purchased at Lakeview Market in White Lake, matched the five white balls in Friday night’s drawing: 04-07-09-24-36.

Lottery Commissioner Suzanna Shkreli highlighted the significance of the streak: “It’s the 13th time this year that a player has hit a life-changing prize on the game, and the big win capped off a huge week for Michigan Lottery players in which they won three $25,000 a year for life Lucky For Life prizes, a $5 million Mega Millions prize, and a $1.72 million Lotto 47 jackpot!”

White Lake, located about 40 miles northwest of Detroit, is the latest hotspot for the streak of winners.

Record Year for Michigan Lottery Players

This year has seen an unprecedented string of wins for Lucky For Life players in Michigan. The 12 previous winners of this prize include:

• Feb. 20: A Flushing woman (Borders Corner Store, Mount Pleasant)
• March 12: An Escanaba woman (purchased online)
• March 23: A Redford Township woman (Value Center Market, Livonia)
• March 25: A Flushing man (purchased online)
• March 26: (Merriman Drugs, Livonia, unclaimed)
• April 17: A Detroit woman (purchased online)
• April 19: A Macomb man (Hub Sports Bistro, Macomb Township)
• April 29: A Lenawee County woman (Morning Fresh Bakeries, Adrian)
• May 16: A Sterling Heights woman (Shell gas station, Sterling Heights)
• June 30: A Fenton man (Hartland AC Holdings LLC, Hartland)
• Sept. 22: (Sunshine Liquor Shop, Redford, unclaimed)
• Sept. 23: (Ernie’s Beer and Wine, Clio, unclaimed)

Winners have two options to collect their prize: annual payments of $25,000 for life or a lump sum of $390,000. Prizes must be claimed within one year from the drawing date at the Michigan Lottery’s headquarters in Lansing.
