Kate Middleton 'persuaded' Prince William to offer olive branch to Harry amid bitter feud

The frosty relationship between Prince William and his younger brother Prince Harry has been no secret in recent years .

However, a surprising gesture from Kate Middleton and William on Harry's 40th birthday sparked hope among royal fans for a potential reconciliation , regardless of how distant that may seem. Since stepping down as a senior royal, Harry has been vocal about his issues with certain family members and this has led to a bitter feud.

However, royal expert Jennie Bond believes Kate is now hoping to end the feud and suggested the olive branch on Harry's birthday was her doing. Bond also said Kate "was right" about a crucial element of Harry and William's feud.

According to Bond, Kate's heartfelt video message, where she opened up about completing her chemotherapy, was more than just a health update. She suggested it was a subtle nudge to Harry about the importance of family.

She suggested that Kate's candid reflections on her cancer journey offered a new perspective on what is truly important in life, possibly influencing William to agree to send his brother the birthday message. In her touching video, Kate shared: "The cancer journey is complex, scary, and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you.

"With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything. This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted: of simply loving and being loved."

Bond shared with OK! Magazine that these feelings might have played a role in deciding to extend an olive branch to Harry, saying: "In the moving film [Kate] made about the end of her chemotherapy treatment, she spoke about how cancer had given her a new perspective.

"What clearly matters to her more than anything now is family, and loving and being loved. Perhaps she has persuaded William that life is too short to bear grudges forever."

The expert did point out, however, that this doesn't signal a complete reconciliation between the two estranged brothers just yet. Still, she emphasized that in her opinion, Kate "was right" in believing that ultimately, family is what's most important.

"While the brothers may never be close again, or even live on the same continent, it doesn't mean that the future has to be full of bitterness and bad blood. Catherine is right. Family should always be paramount," the expert commented.
