WWE Files Trademark Application To Seemingly Prevent AEW Star From Taking Ownership Of His Catchphrase

Bryan Danielson previously revealed that his agent had noticed that the trademark for his iconic “ Yes Yes Ye s” catchphrase had become available, so he filed an application. However, he has since disclosed during an interview that WWE contacted him with “ some sort of legal letter ” after doing this. And now, seemingly wanting to guarantee that Danielson nor anyone else gets ownership, it has been noted that WWE filed to trademark “ Yes Yes Yes ” themselves on Monday.

43-year-old Danielson didn’t actually create the “ Yes ” chant, as former UFC fighter Diego Sanchez introduced it to fans first during his entrance to the Octagon. Yet, unlike with the current AEW Champion, fans wouldn’t chant it with him, which is the significant difference between the two versions. Still, it now seems likely that nobody will be using it going forward, with WWE trademarking it to add to their trademark inventory alongside “ Walk With Elias ” and “ SAWFT .”
