53-year-old woman killed in Washington County crash

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Okla. — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a 53-year-old woman is dead after a crash in Washington County Tuesday morning.

At 3:32 a.m., Paula Zimmer was traveling eastbound on West 2400 Road at US-75, two miles south of Bartlesville.

OHP said Zimmer did not stop at a stop sign at the intersection and was hit by a truck driving southbound on US-75. Zimmer's car went off the road and hit a light pole. Zimmer was thrown around 40 feet from the car.

Zimmer was transported to the hospital and pronounced dead at 4:12 a.m.

The driver of the truck refused medical treatment.
