MISHAWAKA, Ind. — Get ready for an unforgettable day of country music as the second annual Country Fest takes center stage at Ironworks Plaza this Saturday, October 5. Headlining the event is the talented Drew Baldridge, renowned for his hit single “She’s Somebody’s Daughter,” alongside a lineup that features rising stars Hannah Ellis and Lewis Brice.

The festivities will kick off at 2 p.m. and run until 9 p.m., promising a full day of entertainment, community spirit, and culinary delights. Last year’s Country Fest drew a crowd of around 1,500 attendees, and Parks Superintendent Phil Blasko is optimistic about surpassing that number this year, aiming for over 2,000 festival-goers.

“Last year, we faced a bit of a chill as a cold front swept in,” Blasko remarked, recalling attendees bundled up in heavy coats. “We’re hopeful for warmer weather this time around, making the atmosphere even more enjoyable.”

This year's festival will transform Ironworks Plaza into a vibrant hub of activity, complete with food trucks, beer gardens, and a dedicated kids' play zone, ensuring a fun-filled experience for families. With Ironworks Drive closed to traffic, the area will be bustling with energy as country music fans gather to celebrate the genre.

“Events like Country Fest and our June RetroFest concert are vital for bringing life to the downtown Ironworks Plaza,” Blasko added. “With the ice rink out of season, we see a wonderful opportunity to utilize this space for community gatherings.”
