We’re more than halfway through Tell Me Lies Season 2, and based on what we know from Season 1, the chaos, drama, and emotions brewing at Baird College are about to significantly ramp up.

According to Hulu ‘s official synopsis for Season 2, Episode 6, “Do Your Dirty Words Come Out To Play?” holiday plans go off the rails “when a snowed-in campus forces everyone to Evan’s for Thanksgiving.” As predicted, “tensions run high,” and the group of friends, frenemies, and straight-up enemies is once again put to the test.

Can’t wait until Tell Me Lies Season 2, Episode 6 premieres on Wednesday, October 2? We’ve got you covered! Decider’s exclusive Episode 6 clip gives fans of Meaghan Oppenheimer’s hit Hulu drama a sneak peek at an intense Thanksgiving conversation between Bree (Catherine Missal) and Evan (Branden Cook), in which she finally tells him she’s dating “an older man,” aka Oliver (Tom Ellis) .

The two-minute clip located at the top of this article shows the one-on-one scene taking place in a bedroom, which only adds to the already palpable tension between the characters. After Evan sits down on his bed and asks Bree if she’s seeing someone, a significant stretch of silence passes before Bree replies, “Yeah. I am.” A seemingly disappointed Evan lets out a simple “fuck” and takes a moment to process the news before asking if Bree’s new relationship is serious. When she confirms his fears, he presses her further, saying, “We just broke up! How could it be serious?”

“It’s easy to move on when someone you trust totally disappoints you,” Bree tells him. When he asks if she’s with somebody he knows, Bree shuts Evan down again, saying, “It’s not really any of your business.” Her vagueness sends Evan spiraling, so she offers up additional information to ease his mind, adding, “He’s older,” which only makes him more curious.

Evan keeps the interrogation going, asking if Bree’s dating a grad student and why she’s not spending Thanksgiving with her new man if things between them are “so serious.” While Bree knows she can’t reveal Oliver’s identity to Evan or let him know she’s seeing a Baird professor, she defends their distance on Thanksgiving by saying, “He’s an adult. He’s got other shit to do…He’s 45.”

As “Maybe We’ll Fall in Love” by Colleens plays softly in the background, Bree declares, “Guys are the worst at your age,” and Evan slips into full-on panic mode as Branden Cook takes viewers on one hell of a facial journey. “Oh this is awful,” he says. “I’m not judging you. I’m worried about you. Because I fucked up things with us, and now some creep is trying to take advantage of you.”

When Bree protests, Evan stresses, “A normal 45-year-old man does not want to date a 19-year-old. Just think about it, OK? With the way you grew up, he can probably tell that you’re looking for a father figure.” His words clearly strike a nerve with Bree, who gears up to deliver a scathing response.

Before we see where Bree’s conversation with Evan goes next, however, the clip concludes, which means you’ll just have to tune in to Tell Me Lies Episode 6 for more…
