Presence Teaser – NEON Kicks off Haunting Marketing Campaign for New Steven Soderbergh Film

Steven Soderbergh is no stranger to getting experimental with his filmmaking, and the latest teaser for his upcoming film Presence proves that he has found a perfect partner for his film in indie production company and distributor, NEON.

NEON marketed the horror film of the year , Longlegs , crafting a marketing campaign that matched the levels of Osgood Perkins' filmmaking, and now they are matching Soderbergh's freak by posting a succession of teasers for his upcoming film about a suburban house inhabited by a mysterious entity.

The film stars Lucy Liu, Chris Sullivan, Callina Liang, Eddy Maday, West Mulholland, and Julie Fox, and was written by Jurassic Park 's David Koepp.

Presence isn't out until January 2025, but NEON is priming audiences early, having released three short one-shot looks at the film, the first of which was released in August and is just a shot of the street.

The next was released a little over a month later and features the house from the outside before pushing into the doorway, where a light switches on.

NEON then released a third look at the film yesterday, which features a girl asleep in bed as we watch her through the eyes of the presence.

Presence was first shown earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival before going to the Toronto International Film Festival last month.

It currently has 89% on Rotten Tomatoes from critics who say the film " is a remarkable union of a clever concept and a superb execution ."

Presence is due to hit limited theaters on January 17, 2025, before its wider release on January 24.
