    Rutherford County Resources:

    Clothing Donations: Drop off at Florence Baptist Church, 201 S Broadway St, Forest
    City, NC 28043.

    Monetary Donations: Visit www.unitedwayofrutherford.org and ensure your donation is designated for Rutherford. Donations are tax-deductible.

    Clean-Up Volunteers: Sign up with Baptists on Mission and select Rutherford County as the preferred location: https://baptistsonmission.org/hurricane-helene-volunteer.

    Shipping Smaller Boxes (Amazon): Send items to 193 Callahan Koon Road, Spindale, NC  28160

    EOC Food/Supplies Distribution Centers: Open daily from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. For questions about donating items, call 828-278-8920

    • Florence Baptist Church: 201 S Broadway St, Forest City, NC 28043
    • Rutherford County Health Department: 221 Callahan Koon Rd, Spindale, NC 28160
    • Thomas Jefferson High School: 2527 US-221A Hwy, Mooresboro, NC 28114
    • Gilkey Church of God: 255 Oak Springs Rd, Rutherfordton, NC 28139

    Meals, Showers, and Water:

    • Lake Lure Baptist Church: 6837 US-74 ALT, Lake Lure, NC 28746: Shower trailer, bathrooms, supplies, and hot meals daily from 12:00 to 5:00 pm.
    • Ingles in Lake Lure: Meals available from 11:30 am to 1 pm and 5  to 6:30 pm.
    • Father’s Vineyard: 724 Oakland Rd, Spindale, NC: Open 8 am to 1 pm for showers and phone charging; fill water containers (up to 5 gallons per family); serving spaghetti from 5  to 7 pm on Tuesday, October 1st.
    • Spencer Baptist Church: 187 N Oak St, Spindale, NC 28160: Water container filling available Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5  pm
    • United Way of Rutherford County: 668 Withrow Rd, Forest City: Phone charging and water container filling available.

    Drinking Water: Broad River Water Authority and the Town of Forest City have tested and verified that water is safe for drinking

    Missing People: To report missing loved ones or request a welfare check, call NC 211 (or 1-888-892-1162 if calling from out-of-state) or email EOC@rutherfordcountync.gov.

    Home Damage: If your home is damaged and you need assistance with clean-up, contact Crisis Cleanup at 844-965-1386 for access to volunteer organizations
