Let’s be clear about Pete Rose.He was one of the greatest hitters and competitors the game has ever seen.That being said he played in 3562 regular season games, 1500 spring training games, 67 post season games, 17 ASG, and managed 786 games. That’s 5521 he walked into and 5521 times he walked out of a MLB locker room. 11,042 times he walked by the rules of Major League Baseball posted just inside the door. He knew the rules and he knew the consequences. He made his choice.
