Would it not be effective to take abandoned buildings or old motels & turn them into homeless shelters? If the buildings are not occupied & only require minimum maintenance this may help those out in the street. The other option is old FEMA trailers that are sitting in a huge lot doing nothing. One such lot is down in Sumter County ,Fl & they were selling them off at a decent price. Just housing costs have risen but most employers are not giving raises or cutting peoples hours. Getting with organizations which have property to put either trailers or tiny homes may help elevate some of the homeless population.
