‘No evidence’: Josh Shapiro slams ‘blowhard’ Trump’s claims on Fox News

Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro on Tuesday repeatedly called out Donald Trump’s claims that unrest plaguing the Middle East and war in Ukraine would not be happening if he were president as merely a way for Trump “to score political points” because he “doesn’t have the ability to get stuff done.”

“I understand why Donald Trump says that, you know, to score political points but there’s actually no evidence to back up anything he claims for two reasons. Number one, when he was in charge, we had chaos at home and abroad. And second, he’s offered absolutely no vision, no policy, no prescription for any of the challenges we’re seeing across the globe,” Shapiro told Fox News host Neil Cavuto Monday afternoon.

Shapiro said voters have “grown tired" of Trump’s boisterous statements : “So I think you’re just seeing more pontificating, more of him just kinda being a blowhard on these things.”

The governor, who was on Vice President Kamala Harris’ vice presidential short-list, appeared on Fox News after Iran carried out a large missile attack on Israel. He forcefully pushed back at the idea that Trump was equipped “to deal with these serious challenges that we face.”

“These are serious times, and I think it calls for serious people to conduct serious work every single day,” he said. “I know you won’t find this to be a shock I don’t think Donald Trump is a serious person."

“Thank you for clarifying that,” Cavuto responded.

Shapiro said Tuesday night’s vice presidential debate would lay out a clear contrast between Harris and Trump and also “be a reminder to people of the chaos that Donald Trump brought when he had the keys to the White House four years ago. I don’t think we want to go back to that.”
