Voters in Clark County will have the unique opportunity to cast their ballots at Allegiant Stadium, home of the Las Vegas Raiders, in a new initiative to boost voter turnout.
Allegiant Stadium to Serve as Polling Location in Nevada's Pivotal 2024 Election
“This fall, the country will be looking to Nevada to decide who the next president is, and we need voters to get in the game,” said Aguilar. “We’re thrilled to partner with Clark County and the Las Vegas Raiders to open the doors to Allegiant Stadium, giving Nevadans a unique voting experience this fall.”
Allegiant Stadium Becomes Iconic Voting Venue on November 5th
Voters across Clark County will have access to the iconic Allegiant Stadium on Election Day, November 5th, a move aimed at ensuring a convenient and central location for voters. Raiders owner Mark Davis expressed pride in his team’s role in promoting civic engagement. “The Raiders and Allegiant Stadium are proud to do our part to encourage high turnout by providing a central location for Clark County voters,” said Davis.
In addition to casting their ballots, voters who head to Allegiant Stadium will receive an exclusive "I VOTED" sticker designed by the Raiders, adding a special memento to the day.
Expanded Voting Access for All Clark County Voters
With the introduction of Allegiant Stadium as a polling place, the Clark County Registrar of Voters, Lorena Portillo, emphasized that voters from across the region can participate. “It is important to remember that voters can cast their ballot or drop off a mail ballot at any Vote Center,” said Portillo. “We hope folks from all corners of Clark County take advantage of this incredible location.”
This initiative builds on a national trend of using large sports venues as polling locations, a practice that began during the 2020 election. A study from Harvard’s Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation found that 48 sports venues were used for early voting and Election Day voting in 2020, attracting hundreds of thousands of voters.
