CEFCO robbery leads to arrest

On Sunday, September 15, a suspect was arrested after robbing the CEFCO gas station in Mount Pleasant.

According to the Mount Pleasant Police Department, it was around 2:50 a.m. when officers responded to a call at the gas station at 100 Alexander Road. Employees said that an unknown male entered the store with a rag covering what appeared to be a weapon. He demanded money before fleeing on foot.

MPPD detectives were able to identify the suspect as Luther Williams Jr, 45. A warrant was obtained for Williams and he was taken into custody in Cass County on September 18.
