In college at Smu in the early 60s, I went to a sports car race at Green Valley. The premier race of the day was the race between a Ford GT 350 and a Chevrolet Grand Sport Corvette. One of the greatest motor contests I've ever seen. They put on a great show. They were leaning on and banging on each other the whole race. You could hear the impacts clear over in the grand stands when they would come together, side beside over on the back stretch. I think the driver of the Ford was the racer that was in the movie, 'Ford against Ferrari'. His name was Ken Miles. Ford had the 350, Vete GS had the 427.
