Applications open for Clean Car Tax Credit

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – A new tax credit is now available to New Mexicans who purchase a clean car. The tax credit was approved during this year’s legislative session.

The credit offers up to $3,000 to individual or businesses who buy or lease an electric vehicle, plug-in hybrid vehicle or fuel cell vehicle. A $25,000 credit is also available for purchasing and installing a vehicle charger in your home or business. Applications for the credit are now open.
