    Northeast State launches Helene recovery drive

    BLOUNTVILLE, Tenn. (WJHL) — Northeast State Community College has launched a donation drive to support those impacted by Hurricane Helene.

    The following relief supplies are requested:

    • Bottled water
    • Canned food
    • Toiletry items (deodorant, bandages, toothpaste, body wash, shampoo, etc.)
    • Cleaning supplies
    • Manual can openers
    • Flashlights
    • Batteries
    • Trash bags
    • Gloves (medical and work brand)
    • Unopened and unexpired Tylenol, Ibuprofen and OTC items
    • Rubbing alcohol
    • Wet wipes
    • Candles

    Items can be dropped off from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at these locations:

    • Northeast State at Blountville, 2425 Highway 75 (General Studies Building Atrium)
    • Northeast State at Elizabethton, 386 Highway 91 (the Bear Den at the front entrance lobby)
    • Kingsport Center for Higher Education, 300 W. Market Street (main entrance lobby)
    • Northeast State at Gray, 120 Dillon Court (main entrance lobby)
