Brytni Sarpy Teases Her Return to Y&R!

Paging Doctor Dawson… paging Doctor Dawson… Brytni Sarpy took to her Instagram stories to share with fans the happy news that she is returning to The Young & The Restless as Elena after nearly a year away! “Just popping in to say hello to the fam,” she captioned a mirror selfie she also tagged with the soap’s official Instagram tag.

A brief video clip showed her standing outside of her dressing room at the studio showing her name on the door with a message saying “Welcome back — we miss you!” On the video, Sarpy added a caption that said “Missed you, too.”

The actress also shared a selfie with Hayley Erin (Claire), with whom she worked back when they were both on ABC’s General Hospital as Valerie and Kiki, respectively.

Sarpy exited GH back in 2019 after four years of playing Valerie Spencer and quickly joined Y&R in the newly created role of Elena Dawson. She had rocky romances with Devon and Nate but hasn’t been seen on screen since November 2023 when she treated Chance after he was shot in the line of duty. Though presumably, she’s still been toiling away at the hospital off-camera.

The sign on Sarpy’s dressing room door also notes that Y&R is celebrating its 13,000th episode, so it’s likely that she’s going to be part of that landmark show, currently scheduled to air on Wednesday, Nov. 13. Perhaps some other familiar faces will be returning to Genoa City to help celebrate?
