What's an "assault weapon"? You should be able to answer that question without the "standard" liberal dem answer of it being a black, scary, fully semiautomatic rifle, with a 300 round 50cal "clip", and a Kung-fu grip, that sprays 800 bullets in 1 second. Oh, I forgot that it's a military "style" weapon that the military won't use because it is only semiautomatic.
