    Buffalo teen hit by sanitation truck on Wednesday

    Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - A 17-year-old boy is in critical condition after he was hit by a Buffalo garbage truck Wednesday morning.

    Buffalo police say a city sanitation truck backed up and struck the 17-year-old near the corner of Rhode Island Street and 14th Street.

    Authorities say the boy was transported by ambulance to Oishei Children's Hospital with injuries that appear serious in nature.

    The incident remains under investigation.
