    Okaloosa deputies investigating alleged sexual assault of a Fort Walton Beach teen

    OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. ( WMBB ) – The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a teen who was allegedly sexually assaulted inside a storage unit in Fort Walton Beach on Wednesday.

    On Monday, around 6:30 p.m., the teen says she left a Mountain Dew on the curb outside a convenience store at 1209 Miracle Strip Parkway. The teen told deputies she walked away to tell a friend goodbye, then came back about 10 minutes later and began drinking her soda.

    According to a news release, the teen also reported she became woozy, blacked out, and woke up in a storage unit on Hollywood Boulevard where she said she was sexually assaulted. She described the man as a 6’2 tall black man with a short full beard and dreadlocks.

    The victim was driving a white van and dropped her off at 9 Eglin Parkway around 8:30 p.m, officials wrote.
