According to a press release provided to DECIDER, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives was renewed for 20 additional episodes. The first installment will premiere on Hulu sometime in spring 2025.
The eight-episode series, which became Hulu’s top unscripted premiere of the year, follows the young Mormon influencers behind #MomTok. The show picks up amid the aftermath of Paul’s swinging scandal , which threatened to uproot the group’s reputation.
But the drama quickly becomes more than Paul, who ends up getting arrested, pregnant, and giving birth all within the first season. Instead, the focus shifts to Leavitt, who makes the shocking decision to leave #MomTok amid her disagreements with the other women.
When DECIDER spoke to Leavitt ahead of the show’s premiere, she wasn’t able to answer whether she’d come back to #MomTok. “It’s not like I can’t not be in a room with everyone, like, I can do that. But as far as, like, the future of it, I really want to watch the first season before making that decision,” she said.
In a separate interview with DECIDER, Neely teased that there will also be more drama between Affleck and her husband — who announced at the end of Season 1 that they would be moving to New York so he could go to medical school.
“So they ended up going to Arizona, actually. I think they pivoted last minute and went to Arizona,” Neely told us. “There’s stuff going on behind the scenes … We can’t really say anything else. It’s gonna have to wait for Season 2, for sure.”
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is currently streaming on Hulu.
