Miranda Lambert is always helping out the pets. Today, she announced that her MuttNation foundation has donated over $100,000 to go towards Hurricane Helene relief efforts. Of course, much of the southeast is facing unimaginable devastation in the wake of Hurricane Helene, which left communities across North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida and Tennessee completely wiped out and hundreds still missing even three days later. So far, over 180 people have been confirmed dead, though that number is sure to rise as emergency crews are able to make their way in to assess the tragic situation. The pictures that are coming out are absolutely unthinkable. It’s just heartbreaking to think about those who are suffering so much right now – and even those families still waiting to hear from their loved ones who are without power, cell phones and basic supplies in the midst of the tragedy. Miranda says this money will go towards helping "animal shelters, pets and their families impacted by the hurricane, as well as support emergency response organizations." She shared a video on Instagram with plenty of photos of pets and some of the aftermath of the rubble that has been left behind. 100% of the donations will go towards the MuttNation Tractor Supply Relief for Rescues fund and distributed to those in need due to Helene:
"As y'all know, Hurricane Helene hit the southeast hard. It's hard to wrap my mind around the devastation that our neighbors in Tennessee, Florida, North Carolina and Georgia are experiencing. Our MuttNation Tractor Supply Relief for Rescues has already provided nearly $100,000 to help animal shelters, pets and their families impacted by the hurricane, as well as support emergency response organizations. It's a very dire situation, because many of the shelters that got hit were already struggling with overcrowding. As we've been in contact with the shelters, we're also hearing really heroic stories. People are risking their lives to help. It's that type of courage that gives me hope that we'll all get through this. If you feel moved to donate, we have set up fundraisers that go to our MuttNation Tractor Supply Relief for Rescues, and 100% of your donation will got to disaster relief. Thank y'all so much for helping and sending all the love."
There are so many great places you can donate right now that will make a world of difference for the people dealing with this nightmare, but if you're an animal lover looking for somewhere to give money, this might be the place for you: "My heart breaks for the people and pets impacted by Hurricane Helene. In situations like this, a lot of people ask me how they can help. We’ve already provided nearly $100,000 to help though our Mutt Nation Tractor Supply Relief for Rescues Fund. I created this fundraiser for anyone who wants to join us in helping. 100% of your donation goes towards Hurricane Helene disaster relief." It's just another example of a country artist stepping up to help their neighbors however they can. Over the weekend,
Morgan Wallen donated half a million dollars to the American Red Cross to help support his home state, as well as his neighbors just across the border in North Carolina. Luke Combs is also putting something together to help with disaster relief. https://www.instagram.com/p/DAogPo5R2KC/
