I come to find out, my house on Old Dixie, is the lowest in the area....5 1/2'.... in the house..... still ..... A lot has been lost...we will survive !!!!!!

Adding stilts to a home actually cost more than the average cost of a new home so that wouldn’t be smart. Also if you did that watch the next hurricane would be powerful enough to just destroy it from the wind at least that’s how my luck works. After all that’s happened from last year and now this year we’re actually considering moving before we’re next. We don’t live that far from the coast either and it seems it’s getting closer and closer for our comfort. If we do decide to move it’ll be within few years and further inland.
